Nora Ellis
Crochet designer & amigurumi maker
Hello, and welcome
Amigurumi Wren is a calm little corner of the internet for anyone who loves making small things with yarn. Here you'll find free crochet patterns for cuddly amigurumi friends, cozy pieces for your home, things to wear and quick bookmarks, plus gentle tutorials for every technique they use.
I like patterns you can follow with a cup of tea and no guesswork: clear rounds, a stitch count at the end of every one, and a photo for each step so you always know what your piece should look like.
What you will find here
- Toys & Amigurumi: little animals, keychain friends and seasonal softies.
- Home & Living: coasters, baskets, cushions and blankets.
- Wearables & Accessories: hats, scarves, scrunchies and bags.
- Bookmarks: quick scrap-yarn projects that make lovely gifts.
- Guides & Tutorials: the magic ring, basic stitches, increases, decreases and finishing.
How the patterns are made
Patterns are drafted with the help of AI-assisted tools and follow the Craft Yarn Council standards for US terms, yarn weights and hook sizes. Before a pattern is published, every round is checked automatically: the stitches each round works into and makes must add up to the count in brackets. The photos are styled images of each finished piece.
Every maker's tension is different, so sizes and yarn amounts are estimates. If something doesn't work for you, write to us with the pattern link and the round number, and we'll help and fix the page.
Using the patterns
Every pattern here is free. You're welcome to make, gift and sell the finished items. Please don't copy, translate or republish the written pattern or the photos; share a link to the pattern page instead. Thank you for stitching along.
