Read the material and size specifications
The Easy bag measures approximately 17 inches wide and 6½ inches deep without the strap. The source lists Red Heart All in One Granny Square Citrus Twist, one 250 g/417 yd ball with a stated total use of 250 yd/228 m, a 5.5 mm hook and a 12-inch zipper. A motif should be about 6 inches square.
Understand the construction
The assembly diagram arranges squares into a shallow angled bag. White yarn sections join the motifs; the edging and strap use the yarn as self-striping color. The zipper is sewn into the finished top opening with sewing thread.
Resolve the square count first
The materials page describes three granny squares plus yarn for edging and strap, while the motif instructions say to make four. The assembly drawing also needs to be checked carefully. Ask Yarnspirations to confirm the intended count and current yarn allowance before committing to assembly.
Test the color-to-round alignment
The special yarn is designed so each color segment corresponds to one round. Make a full sample motif and note how your tension affects the transition. A similarly colored ordinary variegated yarn may not behave the same way.
Fit the zipper to the opening
Lay out the assembled top and baste the zipper before final sewing. Check that it opens smoothly without stretching the crochet. Keep the strap untwisted and verify that both ends sit at matching heights.
How to read the illustration
The illustration preserves the shallow bag, central diamond and folded side motifs, but the motif density, cream area and color sequence are approximate. The close-up is generic orange edge work. Resolve the PDF square-count discrepancy before following its assembly instructions; do not infer a count from the generated image. Use the official PDF for the complete construction and stitch sequence.
